Bishop Henderson Primary School - Celebrating 50 years

This year, our wonderful school celebrates its 50th Birthday and we are looking forward celebrating together and sharing what is special about our school.  There are various ways in which you can be involved - we would love your input!

We know that many of you attended Bishop Henderson yourselves.  Do you have photographs from your time here?  Did you keep any school books or reports that you would be willing to share?  We are planning to have a display of memorabilia and photographs in the hall which we will open to the public during the evening of Thursday 17 October 2024.  If you have something you feel able to share, please pop it into the school office.  We would ask that you clearly label it with your name and contact details so that we can return it to you safely after the event.

As part of the display, we would love to gather some ‘Do you remember when…..’ quotes.  If you remember a particular incident when you were at school (like the day that Mrs Newberry set off the fire alarms when cooking her toast at lunchtime) please follow this link to share your memory.  These can then be printed out and displayed to jog the memories of others.

We are holding a service of celebration at St Michael’s on Thursday 17th October.  We would love to have an adult choir and adult band to complement the children’s singing.  If you are available to be involved, please follow this link to show your interest.  The rehearsal dates are:
