Here is some home learning for the next two days if you would like to do some activities at home.

 

Maths – Doubling

Attached below is a doubling game called Doubling Machine that you can have a go at.

Can you practise doubling using objects from around your house? Can you write a number sentence to go with it? The children are very good at this. For example:

Double 2 = 2 + 2 = 4

 

Literacy / Understanding the World – People Who Help Us

We have been learning about People Who Help Us. Please find attached some videos you may wish to watch about jobs where people help us, such as police officers, firefighters, and other community helpers.

 

Could you have a go at drawing a picture of someone who helps us and then try to hold this sentence in your head before having a go at writing it:

“They help us.”

You can support your child to write the word they, as this is a red tricky word. They can sound out help and us independently using their sound knowledge and by pinching the sounds on their Fred Fingers.
