What is an SEND Information Report?

An SEND Information Report is a document schools provide to explain how they support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). It outlines the school's approach to identifying and meeting these needs, the types of support available, and how parents and students are involved in the process. It’s designed to help families understand what to expect and how the school ensures every child can thrive.

What is an SEND policy?

An SEND Policy is a detailed document that explains a school’s overall approach to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). It sets out the principles, procedures, and responsibilities for ensuring all children with SEND are identified, supported, and included effectively in school life. It provides a clear framework for how the school meets its legal and educational commitments.
