Accelerated Reader

We follow a reading program designed to encourage and promote successful reading and to help improve reading comprehension. 

After completing an initial Star Test, children will be given a band to choose their book from. 

Your child will complete a quiz after reading each book to check their understanding.  Children will be given the opportunity to quiz each day.

 

Please remember you can check if home books are on the Accelerated Reader scheme by going on Accelerated Reader Bookfinder - Accelerated Reader Bookfinder UK & Ireland - Welcome

 

We also encourage wider reading for pleasure so please encourage your child to read a variety of books they enjoy – poetry, non-fiction, comics …
