Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
After a great night's sleep and a hearty breakfast, Class 14 headed down to the beach for a morning of fishing and beach activities (photographs to follow) whilst the intrepid Class 13 headed up to the high ropes. They challenged themselves to climb Jacob's Ladder - a series of logs which get wider and wider apart. They also competed in the crate challenge, building towers of crates as a team whist two people climbed and balanced (and were eventually pushed off!) They also amazed us by scaling a pole and taking the 'leap of death' - jumping to catch a trapeze at the top. Throughout it all, the children showed resilience, teamwork and great humour. We are so proud of them all! This afternoon, the group will swap over!
After a delicious meal of Lasange, garlic bread, lashings of salad and apple cake, Year 6 headed out for a night walk. We climbed up high through woodland, playing lots of fun games on the way, and ended up high, looking over the bay - in the spot where the Tellytubbies were filmed! After more games, we walked back through the woodland and settled into our beds for the first night of sleep (we hope!) More updates to come tomorrow!
Our super Year 6 have arrived safely and settled into their new home for the next few days. After eating lunch in their common room, they went off to learn some new skills - throwing axes and shooting air rifles. They also played highly competitive games of tag archery and aeroball. They will soon enjoy an evening meal before setting off on a night hike. There are a few photographs here, more will follow!
