Over the past year, we have been exploring our vision for a school, the values we feel are key for our children and our mission statement.  Back in October 2021, families who were with us at the time, were asked to reflect on ‘Learning for life in all its fullness’ and what that meant for them as a family.  We also spent a lot of time with our teachers, teaching assistants, children, governors, lunchtime assistants, office staff - everyone involved in the life of the school - to reflect on this. 

What came clearly were some key points - firstly the idea of growth.  Growth of the character of a child, growth of their academic ability, growth of their friendships and so on.  The values which the children could articulate were the fruit of the spirit which are taught across the school.  The strong sense of family within school was really clear.

A team of people then worked on these ideas and have come up with a new vision for the school, a new mission statement and a clear set of values which are now embedded within our behaviour policy.  We feel that they encapsulate what we aim to achieve as a school.  We are aware that we do not always get this right - we are not perfect - but this is our aim for all children and, together with you, we want to do all we can to reach these goals. 

So, based on the words of Ephesians 3: 17 - 19,  our new vision is

‘Rooted together in love, we flourish and grow.’
