Autumn 2023

Reception have been settling into school so well over the last few weeks. We have been exploring the classrooms and outdoor areas, making learning choices and meeting new friends. We have been learning the rules and routines of the school day and have been to visit the pod, where we eat our lunch and the playground, where we have lots of fun on the pirate ship and reading stories in the Burrow. 

We have been discussing our feelings using the Colour Monster story and are now beginning to learn phonics using the RWINC scheme. We are using lots of practical resources to practise our number skills and have been using our gross and fine motor skills using the equipment both indoors and outdoors.
