Welcome to Year 4

We open the class doors at 8:35am for registration at 8:45am.

Welcome to Year 4!  

Throughout the year in history and geography, our focus is on Our Changing World. This term, our geography is on climates and biomes. To find out more, please see the knowledge organisers in Curriculum Overviews.

We are also working towards the Multiplication Check which will take place in the weeks of the 5th-16th June - please ensure your child is regularly practising their times tables. They all have a times table rockstars login in their reading diaries!

Class 9 will do Forest School every Thursday morning for this half term with Mrs Fraunks. Please can children come wearing their kit and bring their school uniform in their bag. Wellies can be kept in school on the rack. Class 10 will be doing Swimming at this time on a Thursday for this half term with Mrs Beattie. After May half term, the classes will switch over.

Educational Visits

There will be a school trip to Carymoor Environmental Centre which will link with our research on climate change and our DT on sustainability. Letters will be sent out in due course with more information. 

P.E – Class 9 have their PE lessons on a Wednesday. Please can they wear their PE kit into school and bring uniform to change into afterwards.

Class 10 will have PE on Thursday. Please can children come to school in their PE kit and bring their school uniform change into after swimming and PE. 

We are looking forward to a busy and exciting half term.
