The inspection was carried out on Wednesday 24th May, just before half term. This inspection is statutory and takes place every 5 years, however, this is our first under the new SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) criteria which has greatly increased the rigour and depth of the inspection, aligning more closely with other inspection frameworks - including Ofsted. 

To achieve an 'outstanding' grade is very significant and is a great acknowledgement of our school's positive impact underpinned by our strong Christian ethos and the tremendous work and dedication of the entire school community. 
 
A very big thank you to all the Parents and Grandparents who met the Inspector, to our staff team, Governors and Clergy with special thanks to our RE Lead Mrs Jerrard who helped us prepare thoroughly for this, and to Rev Jenny Jeffery who always plays such a vital role within our school community. 
 
The biggest 'thanks' goes to the children, and many met with our Inspector formally and informally, all of them demonstrating what a great school and what great children we have here at Bishop Henderson.
