This week we will be writing war poems.
Please look at the presentation about ‘War Poets’ and then the presentation on ‘Writing a War Poem’.
Whilst watching, please make some notes of words and phrases you would like to include in your poem.
You could research about what it was like in the trenches in World War I.
Now have a go at writing your own poem.
Try to include emotive, aural and visual language.
What might they soldiers have felt, heard, smelt …
Once you have written your poem, please edit it then best copy your poem.
Perhaps you could add an illustration.
In class, we have been preparing for our Christmas virtual carol service. Please write the section of the Christmas story when the Angel Gabriel appears to the shepherds from the shepherds’ point of view.
Please watch this clip from Reverend Justine.
Have a go at making this star. You can use any paper.
