In pencil practise learning and writing capital letters V, W and X.
Learning Objective: I can plan for a 'What am I?’ poem.
Think of an animal.
Think of 4/5 facts about your chosen animal. Think about what category of animal it is.
Think about what it eats.
What feature does it have that tells it apart from any other animals?
Write these ideas down ready for writing your poem tomorrow.
Learning Objective: I can compare objects within 50
Find 3 empty containers, this could be a plastic pot, an empty jam jar or a shoe! Fill the containers with objects. Don’t use things that are too small as you are only working within 50!
Once each container is full, empty the contents and count them.
Which container held the most?
Which container held the fewest?
Order the numbers from smallest to greatest.
If you were to change to order from greatest to smallest, what would change and what would stay the same?
Repeat the above activity but using three different containers.
EXT: try comparing more that 3 containers.
Don't forget to send photos of comparing objects.
Ask someone to draw a black dot on your paper. Create a piece of art using the black dot! You could ask an adult, or a sibling, to do the same. Compare your results. Do it again and see what else you can create.
Friends Paper chain.
You will need a piece of paper, some scissors and a pencil. Following the diagrams below, create your own paper chain of people. The people on your paper chain represent your friends. Please decorate people.
