This week in English, we have continued looking at the book 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers. We discussed all of the amazing and interesting things that make our world so special and we decided to write a guide to highlight these things.
Our guide has four sections: Things to see; things to do; people and animals. To make our guides really interesting we were challenged to use adjectives to describe as well as use a range of conjunctions (and, if, so, but, when, or, that, because) to extend our sentences.
In maths this week, we are continuing to look at place value, focusing particularly on the amount of tens and ones in 2-digit numbers. For example, the number 31 has 3 tens (30) and 1 one.
We are also looking at the different ways numbers can be represented, such as using equipment, writing the number as a word or in digits.
Finally, we will practise reading and writing our numbers to 100 through a series of games.
