In maths this week we are continuing to count in multiples of 10 from 0 and other starting points. We will then practise questions where we will need to check whether we need to count in 2s, 5s or 10s. Finally we will finish the week by learning to count in multiples of 3. Below you will find some activities.

There are also some activities on My Maths.  Using your TT Rockstars login details you can also access NumBots

In English this week, we are going to write a descriptive paragraph about the Great Fire of London. To do this we are going to look at pictures to think of a series of nouns and then think of powerful adjectives to describe them. Below you will find a PowerPoint to help you recall what nouns and adjectives are as well as a plan template.

For an extra challenge, you might want to include a 2A sentence in your writing (two adjectives, which are separated by a comma, before a noun e.g. thick, wafting smoke.) Here is an example of a descriptive paragraph.

London is on fire! Around me flickering flames spread over buildings. Thick, wafting smoke fills the air. Leather buckets are used to collect water from the River Thames. Deafening, powerful booms can be heard as buildings are pulled down.

This week we are going to look at and sequence the key events of the Great Fire of London.
