Read Write Inc

We have now learnt all of our set 1 sounds! This week we are consolidating our set 1 sounds.

The following link shows you how to pronounce these sounds: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/reading-owl/find-a-book/read-write-inc-phonics--1/phonics-pure-sounds-video

Challenge - Can you use your RWInc sound cards that were sent home before half term and see if you can remember each of the sounds from the last week of term? (j, v, y, w. z, x).You can access the links on Tapestry to watch video lessons of these sounds to help recap them. Can you have a go at making some of the suggested words in your pack using your letter tiles?

Maths

This week we are thinking about comparing non-identical amounts using different types of objects. We are continuing to use the mathematical vocabulary;

the same as, equal to, fewer and more.

You may want to listen to this song on Youtube about comparing amounts...

Challenge: Have a look at 'Teddy's Toy Shop' PowerPoint attached below. Can you compare the different non identical objects in Teddy's toy shop? Can you say a sentence to compare the two groups using comparative language, for example, 'There are more Lego bricks than dolls'.

You could open up your own toy shop at home and use comparative language to compare different objects in your pretend shop.

Other
