Watch both clips – Part a and b - and then complete activity/worksheet 1 and 2.

There is a game, Karate Cats Maths, at the bottom of the screen which you might want to explore.  It is not related to counting in 2s but does reinforce addition and subtraction.  Start with the Bronze level – silver is quite hard!

Shuttle Run

Place two cones, or something similar, apart from each other. How many times can you run around your two points in one minute? Challenge: Extend the distance you have to run or try to beat how many times you can run around the cones.

The Plank

Hold your body in the plank position for as long as you can.

To make it easier, you can put your knees down. Repeat. Can you hold the position for longer this time?

High Knees

Run on the spot but lift your knees up to your chin. Do not look down otherwise your chin and knee could bump!

Burpees

Try to maintain the same speed; keep your toes pointed and your legs straight.

Press Ups

You can put your knees on the floor to make the move easier.

Step ups

How many times can you step up and down, on a step, in 1 minute? Challenge: can you beat your score by going a little faster?
