Learning Objective: I can read clues to identify different animals


Read and identify the animals from the ‘What am I?’ clues. The clues are on the worksheet.

You DO NOT need to print off the worksheet.


You can either simply write the name of the animal you have identified or you could illustrate to show your answer.


Learning Objective: I can find one more and one less than a given number

Recorded session


On small pieces of paper, write the number 0-50. These will become your number cards. Keep them safe!


Shuffle your number cards. You might want to keep them as a pile or you might like to spread them out, face down, on the floor or table.

Turn over one card. Write the number that is one more and one less than the number you picked.

 You could draw a table like the one above to help you.  Repeat the activity for at least ten numbers.


Use your log in and go on to Real PE at home-EYFS/KS1 -click on the Cat and have a go at these activities.

Active Challenges

Climb the rope

Imagine a rope is hanging down from the ceiling.

Reach up with one hand and pull the rope down towards your tummy.

Reach up with your other hand and pull it down towards your tummy.

Run on the spot and climb the rope at the same time.

Knee to Elbow

Imagine you are marching on the spot.

Lift one knee and bring it towards the opposite elbow.

Repeat with the other knee and opposite elbow.

Keep a straight back.

Frog Jumps

Start with your feet a bit wider than shoulder width apart.

Squat down and touch the ground with both hands – bend from the knees not from the back.

Jump up high with your arms in the air.

Can you jump like a frog?

Squat hold with punches

Start with your feet a bit wider than shoulder-width apart.

Squat down as if you are sitting on a chair.

Hold the position and punch forwards with your arms one at a time.

Can you feel it in your legs?


EXT: repeat the challenges from last week. Can you beat your score?
