You will need some paper, a pencil and some small pieces of paper to write numbers on – to make number cards.
Complete the exercise challenges listed below:
Ball Activity 1
Throw a ball into the air. Don’t throw it too high as you need to catch it! How many times can you throw and catch the ball in 1minute. If you drop it, you need to start at zero again.
Active challenge 1
Step up – find a step (it could be the first step on your stairs or a step leading into your house.) Do not uses a stool as it might slip. Step up onto the step with your right foot; then your left foot; now step down with your right; then your left. Repeat. How quickly can you do it? How many step ups can you do in 1 minute?
Ball activity 2 - target throw
Find a bucket or a bowl that your ball will fit into. You might want more than one. Stand 1 large pace away from your bowl/bucket. Can you throw your ball into it? If it is too easy, take another step away. How far away can you go but still get the ball into the target?
Active challenge 2
Bunny jumps. How far can you jump in one bunny hop? How high can you jump?
Ball Activity 3
Bounce the ball standing still. How many bounces can you do in 1 minute? Can you bounce on the move? Can you jog and keep bouncing?
Active challenge 3
Find a line – it might be a paving slab or you might want to put a strip of sellotape on the floor.
Face the line and jump forwards and backwards over the line. How many jumps can you do in 1 minute? Now stand sideways on to the line. Jump sideways over the line. How many jumps can you do in 1 minute?
