LO: I can correctly use the prefix un.

Use the power point link at the bottom of this page to learn about un and then complete the following activity.

 

Activity: Pairs game 

Together choose the root word and have to find its partner that has the prefix ‘un’.  

Once you have found the pair they write them on a piece of paper as below: 

Happy  -Unhappy 

Zip - Unzip 

 

Once you have managed to find at least 5 pairs, then choose one to write in a sentence.  

e.g. I unzip my coat.  

 

Wednesday

LO: I can correctly use the suffix ‘ing’.

Use the power point link at the bottom of this page to learn about 'ing' and then complete the following activity.

 

Activity: Find your partner game. 

 

Ask your adult to give you the root word and have to find its partner that has the suffix ‘ing’.  

 Once you have found the pair then write them in your book as below: 

Help - Helping 

Clap - Clapping 

 

Once you have managed to find at least 5 pairs, then choose one to write in a sentence.  

e.g. I am helping my friend.

Use the power point link at the bottom of this page to learn about the suffix 'ed' and then complete the following activity.

Activity: Find your partner game. 

 

Ask your adult to give you  the root word and then find its partner that has the suffix ‘ed’.  

 Once you have found the pair then write them in their book as below:

Play - Played
