Read through your story that you wrote last week. Are there things you could improve? Could you add some more adjectives? Could you use more powerful verbs?  Have you used capital letters at the start of your sentences and for names? Are your full stops in the correct place?



Draw a picture to go with your story and colour it in.



Practise reading the Year 1 common exception words.



Today you will be looking at the prefix 'un.' Watch the power point (resources section) and complete the activities that are shown. Write a few sentences that contain words with the prefix 'un.' For example; Billy was being unkind to his friend.



Choose some words from the the Year 1 common exception words that you find difficult to spell and write them out using cursive handwriting.  




Today you will be comparing tens and ones. Using the comparing tens and ones worksheet, complete the activity. Remember to work out how many tens and ones there are before comparing them by using the greater than, less than and equal to signs.



Today you will be comparing numbers by using the words greater than, less than and equal to. Complete the activities on the worksheet.



Today you will be ordering numbers between 1 and 50. Make yourself some numbers cards that have numbers between 1 and 50. Turn them over so they are face down on the table. Choose three or four numbers and turn them over. Now write them in order starting with the smallest to the largest. Do this a few times then put then put them in order from the largest to the smallest.



Today we will be looking at counting in 2s. Find some objects around your house and pair them up. Now practise counting in 2s. Once you have down this write out the numbers that you say when you are counting in 2s.

We are looking at our senses. This week we are focussing on our sense of smell. With your adult, find things that have a strong smell. Can you use adjectives to describe what they small like?

This week we are looking at Brunel's life. Research Brunel and find out when he was born, when he died, where he lived and what his job was.
