Year 5 visited the Eden project in Cornwall on Tuesday 22nd May. We had a fantastic time looking at the different biomes and in particular visiting the Rainforest biome, where we were explorers looking for plants that would provide medicine, shelter and food.
This is what some of the children had to say about the day.
" I absolutely adored the rainforest biome since it was full to the brim of intriguing smells and exotic sights to behold!"
" Getting wet in the rainforest biome, was the best part, because it was very hot. We all had fun!"
" The water bridge was my favourite part, it was really great fun!"
" I would like to take my family back to show them the bee sculpture, the lemon scented leaves, the colourful birds and the cloud bridge."
" I found the horseradish tree fascinating because it is so interesting. It can cure over 30 illnesses and a crushed seed can purify water!"
